Dr. Sharp is a pediatric psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) and its psychiatric counterpart, avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). He is nationally and internationally known as a leading expert in the prevalence, cause, and potential impact of chronic feeding difficulties in pediatric populations. He was a finalist for the Atlanta Business Chronicle's Allied Healthcare Hero Award in 2014 and 2020 for his dedication to helping children with chronic and severe feeding concerns; he won the award in 2014.
Dr. Volkert is a board-certified behavior analyst with a well-established reputation for her leadership in pediatric feeding disorders in children with autism and related medical and developmental conditions. She is routinely requested to share this expertise at national and international events, receiving more than 100 invitations to present her clinical work through workshops and panel discussions. She is also an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and active researcher with over 40 peer reviewed publication on the assessment and/or treatment of feeding concerns.
